Very rare working table made by Galle around 1900 probably on command as no other is known to exist. In the book by Phillippe Garner you find one a little bit similar but still very different and the one in the book sadly enough misses its top tray.
The one we present here is in very very good condition and beautiful. The main theme is primroses and eucalyptus. The legs are a large sculpted flower of the eucalyptus with the leaves going sideways. The marqueterie inside is with primroses and ferns. The inside marqueterie is three dimensional which is very rare. This table is worthy for a museum.
